Can what you eat add or subtract years to your life? According to health experts, yes! What you're eating affects your body and "nutritional age."

Assess your nutritional age by asking yourself these questions:

1. What's your typical breakfast?

a.) Eggs and bacon, sausage or ham
b.) Hot cereal
c.) Cold cereal -- a "frosted" type or one with honey
d.) High fiber cereal like bran flakes or shredded wheat
e.) Pastries, donuts or sweet rolls
f.) Waffles or pancakes

2. How often do you eat fried foods like fried chicken, fried fish, or French fries?

a.) Daily
b.) Four or five times a week
c.) Two or three times a week
d.) Occasionally (once a week or less)
e.) I never eat fried food

3. How many servings of fruit do you eat a day? (A serving is a small- or medium-sized piece, 6 ounces of unsweetened juice, a cup of melon or berries, or 1/2 cup of fruit cocktail packed in juice or water.)

a.) Three or more servings
b.) Two servings
c.) One serving
d.) I never eat fruit

4. How many servings of vegetables do you eat a day? (A serving of vegetables is 1-cup raw salad or cut-up vegetables, or 1/2 cup cooked vegetables, excluding corn, peas and potatoes.)

a.) Three or more servings
b.) Two servings
c.) One serving
d.) I never eat vegetables
