EDITOR'S NOTE: Don't miss the sweet, diet-friendly recipe below!

If you've got a sweet tooth but don't want the calories of full-fat whipped cream, go for Cool Whip (they now even make it in easy-to-use spray can!).

Add it to any dessert, or use it as a sweet topping for tart fruit. This non-dairy delight is in comes a bunch of yummy varieties: Regular, Extra Creamy, Lite, Sugar-Free and Fat-Free -- plus fun flavors like chocolate, strawberry and French vanilla. Each 1-tablespoon serving of Cool Whip Regular or Extra Creamy has only 25 calories and contains no trans fat.

For those who want to have their cake and eat it, too -- the Cool Whip Free and Lite varieties have even fewer calories (only 15-20 per serving). Cool Whip is also very low in carbohydrates, with only two per serving.

Be creative and add this cool sweetness to your favorite dessert or fresh fruit. For shortcake lovers, start with angel food cake and top with sliced fresh strawberries mixed with a little sugar substitute. Top with a spoonful of Cool Whip, for a fresh, low-calorie dessert that will please any taste bud.

I can't believe you are recommending Cool Whip! I refuse to buy it because it is full of everything artificial and toxins and trans fat! At least with whipped cream you are gettng something natural, and not outrageously high in calories! Use in moderation, still better than the ulternative of Cool Whip!

I too, cannot believe a website that is said to be about fitness is completely disregarding the ingredients of this product. I guess Cool Whip must have paid ediets a lot of money. Do you know what HYDROGENATED OILS do inside your body???
Please pull this story. You are causing people who do not know, to consume a product that will harm their bodies. Do a google search of Partially Hydrogenated oils and learn what harm you are causing your body by consuming it.

For Goodness Sake, get a grip and live a little. if your life is so dull you have to get anal about a little Cool Whip, then you need a new hobby. There is being watchful and careful, and being insane. This sounds like exactly something I've been looking for. I will definitely add it to my weight loss plan.

I disagree with the last comment about getting people to use Cool Whip --- ,they probably already buy it anyway. A person doesn't have to choose the regular variety.
Other than the Extra Creamy, there's Light & Fat Free. I always
get the Light. There's a lot of things we buy that's NOT good for us,but they taste so goood! Why do foods that IS good for us like: brusssel sprouts[they DO NOT taste like cabbage!],taste yucky & vice versa?

I was just looking at the Strawberry Parfait picture up close, you should have strawberries on top,NOT cherries! Speaking of the recipe, how does a person print it without printing the whole page?
Thank you,

You people are too much. There are different varieties of Cool Whip to choose from, some of which do not contain trans fat.

Plus, it's not like anyone's forcing the can of trans fatty Cool Whip down your throat. Stop being so damn sensitive.

A simple solution to the cool whip=trans fats issue that tastes the same (and i think better!) is to use Reddi Whip. I believe it only comes in a can but it's made with real cream so the consistancy is wonderfully rich. This stays true for the regular, low fat, and fat free versions. And like I said before, doesn't have the chemicals like cool whip. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Each to his own!!!!!!!!!!!!!We are all responsible to ourselves and must therefore make our own (hopefully informed) descisions.

Seriously...if you don't like the suggestion of Cool Whip, then don't use it! Don't pass judgements on others because they use something. Not to mention that people need to be a little more polite on here. Seriously.
