Apparently, Grandma and Grandpa are putting us all to shame...
That's because 70-year-olds are having sex more often now than they did 30 years ago, according to a study led by Nils Beckman of the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. And not only are they getting it on more, women are reported being more satisfied.
So what's the secret? Our first instinct was to think it had something to do with those "happy" pills so widely available now for men, but the researchers found that it's really about attitude. The elderly are becoming more open-minded and positive about sex, the study found.
The researchers looked at the sex lives of four groups of 70-year-olds from 1971 to 2001. The number of men who reported being sexually active rose from 52 to 68 percent since the '70s. The number of women shot up from 30 to 54 percent during the same time period.
What may give us women something even better to look forward to is that elderly women report being more satisfied. That is, more women report having an orgasm during sex than before and, thankfully, less are revealing they'd never had one.
So there it is: Something to look forward to as we age. Maybe getting a few wrinkles and a couple gray hairs isn't so bad after all…

retired older people are less stressed,have more free time to enjoy each other especially if they
are healthy and contented with each other.Once you keep fit,walk lift weights,or swim,etc,you can still have good sex.

sex DOES get better with age--no c hildren around to worry about; one is comfortable with one's partner; willing to experiment and try new things; sex is absolutely great--I'm 67 and look forward to many more years of a healthy sex life!

By my experience sex was much better when I was 20 - 30. Now I am 37 and my sex life is terrible. I think its all depends of the partner not the age.

There is nothing wrong in having sex when you retire. Our children think it is terrible. But let me tell you sex is great as we age. It is better now than when we were younger. It is even romantic and especially when you go on vacation. Have fun and enjoy what you are doing because life is too short.

I am 42 he is 63 we have been together 6 years and it's better now than it was when we first met...we satisfy eachother and talk and laugh as if we were teenagers again!! We have great sex and make wonderful love 2-5 times per week.

My husband of 1 year and I are both 71 and sex is great! We have been together 9 years and didn't really think about getting married, but now that we are, it's fun and sexy to tell folks that we are newlyweds. Don't kid yourself folks...the pilot may not be as young, but he sure knows where to land the plane! Life is great!

I am 45 now, yes I enjoy sex better now than when i was 25 because we have reached our financial stability at this stage of life. I think sex will be even better when ones get older.

I always thought sex would be great into my old age, and I still want it to be, but since my hysterectomy, it hurts! It makes me sad because I feel so young in every other respect, too young to have my sex life hindered this way!

I'm 44 and it's the best it's ever been, but right after I had a baby it hurt like crazy for way too long. If it hurts, get to your doctor and bug her until you get relief. Between my doctor, the health food store, and the drugstore, we found a solution. Don't give up until you find yours!

I was married briefly during my 30's, had a few relationships, then celibate for 10 years, but married again at 50, and YES, sex is amazing. I always wondered why all the commotion. My husband is the greatest. He is 56. Incredible sex. Tenderness and romance don't hurt either but it's nice to not have kids around!

I'm a 46 yr old female. Sex with my partner is 'mind blowing' - I always tell him that until I met him I had NO idea what all the fuss was about. Great sex is a combination of many things - first and foremost knowing your own body and allowing yourself to just let go, enjoy and go with what feels right and good. Secondly - having a partner that is willing to talk about sex - in playful and serious ways - and thirdly - to make it fun and never stop telling each other how much you enjoy it and want it. I'm better now than ever and it just keeps getting better.

We are not yet 70, but our sex life is much better than when we were in the prime of our lives and could perform like gymnasts!
The orgams are deeper, more whole body and we have lost any inhibitions with each other. We are more loving, willing to do what ever the other requires or desires for satisfaction. No pressures.
I wouldn't go back to a younger time.

Sex is definitely better now...was married for 38 years, then widowed...only in the last years of that marriage was the sex great...married again... the sex was awful...after the divorce, I kept wishing and hoping to find someone who I could completely relax with and feel free to express myself....and, definitely I did...my kids think I should just be sitting in my rocking chair wearing my shawl and rocking my life away....no thank you...the body may be showing some signs of wear,but the mind and emotions are still raring to go..:o)

I am 28 yrs old and married last year....i feel sex is always great...we all have a right to enjoy our sex lives at any age......moreover sexually active life keeps you happy n younger looking...as it releases Endorphins(hormone)....i fully agree "the pilot may not be as young, but he sure knows where to land the plane" this is funny but true....so so guys enjoy ur sex lives.
