Imagine you had one wish and could magically improve one body part... Which would it be?

We all have those "problem areas." You know, the pooch, the arm jiggle or the inside of your thighs. I know a lot of women who'd love to get rid of the back fat by their bra strap, or take just a little (or a lot!) off their backside. And even though we know spot-reducing isn't really possible, a girl can dream, can't she?

I personally would do just about anything for a set of abs. I know they're under there (heaven knows I've done enough crunches in my life), but I just can't seem to see them. No matter how I crunch, twist, hang or stretch, those darn abs won't come out of hiding! I think it's the whole pooch thing sabotaging my efforts. Silly pooch... If I could lose weight in one area first, I would most definitely wish to part ways with the pooch.

So how about you? If you had to pick ONE spot to tighten up first, which would it be? Let us know by commenting below!

After loosing 60 pounds and a breast reduction I feel pretty good, but I would love to get rid of mt granny arm waddles and the extra skin from my thighs. I'm in a size 6, work out 5 days a week, have flat abs, and an over-all toned body, but I still can't were short sleeves and a skirt ... and absolutely not a bathing suit, without being embarassas.

the rest of my body shows my hard work, but the belly still looks like I had two C-sections. Just can't get rid of it.

I had a knee injury about 8 years ago, after 4 Arthroscopy procedures, I am bone on bone. I wish for a new knee. I can no longer dance, run or ride bikes with my grandchildren. I have to ride electric carts in the grocery store. A NEW KNEE FOR ME.

First and foremost would definitely have to be my belly. I'm eating right and exercising 5 days a week, yet the flab on my stomach just does not seem to go away. Second in line would have to be my butt. It's definitely a work in progress.

The Swinging upper arms and bra overhang that seem to persist-- Am Age 63, healthy, within appropriate weight range, regular walking 2-3 miles/day, but after 2 yrs of working out @ the Y my arms still swing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God helped me lose 65 pounds and keep it off over the last 2 yrs
for which I am extremely thankful at age 52. However, after having
5 children, 2 c-sections and a hystyerectomy, the 'hanging' skin
below my tummy button would be
my first 'wish' along with a trimmer waistline. But I am thankful that God has helped me
remain healthy and fit. Couldn't have done it without Him!

I would love to lose that little "fold" in the lower belly. My 2 c-sections left a small scar, but there's nothing I can do about the stretched skin:( otherwise I'm happy with my shape

I would love to have toned arms so I can wear sexy tops and sun dresses. I have flabby thighs but I can always hide those with capries.

I would love to lose my love handles. I have lost the weight and wear a size 4/6. I have toned the body and made muscle instead of fat. I exercise 5 days a week and do floor exercises every day.

definitely would love to lose the pooch along with extra baggage that lies below the mid section of my back. I really hate that.

Of course there are lots of things I would like to improve, but I would definitely like to get rid of my inner thighs. I feel like no matter how hard I work out, everything gets smaller but that...I will not wear a bathing suit without shorts.

The tummy pooch. I'm naturally thin, do cardio & strength on alternating days, and have great toned abs.... under a layer of fat that won't budge!

Aw heck ladies!
Everything else that was said is sooo true for me too. So, what the thing I would like to change? Let's change all those Barbie dolls and models to show young people the REAL world!! That the majority of people DO have stretch marks from having babies, belly flab, back fat and everything else! Yep, let's all work hard on improving ourselves and our health, Yes, I'm all for that, BUT for god's sake let's get the rest of the world to be REAL too!!! And hey, get that bathing suit on and go swimming, it'll be good for you. Let's all STOP being embarrassed because we're NORMAL. OK?

I have had saddle bags that the Pony Express would have been proud to carry...even when my goal in high school was to get UP TO 100 pounds. If I could dump these buggers I would be content.

I would also like to lose the belly. I go to Curves 3 days a week, and now work out with the ball, but it persists!!! I have lost 14 1/2 inches overall at Curves since Aug!
If you don't like your arms- work out with weights...they make a huge difference quite quickly.

I hd to be on steriods for a head injury I sustained several years ago. Even though I've lost alot of the weight-I evercise regularly! I can't seem to loose the breast weight/size - this gives me back pain, needless to say it's hard to find nice tops.

Butt, thighs (inner), and hips all need work. I'm lucky - I have a naturally flat stomach and I'm fairly happy with my upper body but almost everything else could use some improvement. I'm a pear-type. I can tell when I'm getting into shape - my calves tone up substantially. It's a unique way to keep tabs on my fitness but true.

I wish I could get rid of the extra skin on my stomach from losing weight. It is not as bad as some people on the tv but it still makes me look fat.

Comment: Thursday, March 20, 2008 2:35:00 PM - Anonymous Anonymous said...

I am 35 yrs young and recently had a hysterectomy. I am 40 lbs over my ideal weight goal. I had a beautiful son 2.5 yrs ago and I am heavier now than I was 3 weeks after giving weight. Granted that the reason for my hysterectomy was a very large fibroid which continued to grow! I just became a member and would like to know if anyone out there can share some of their experiences with me in order to make this an easier journey.

I am sorry to say the only way to lose the waddles and extra skin is by surgery. I also have lost the weight and toned the body. I wear a size4/6. I want to lose the love handles, but have been told they won't go away on there own.

I eat very healthy foods, get a lot of exercise, and still always, no matter what, I still have a little belly. I just read the article in the Diet section of this site about belly flattening foods - I think I'll try some of those tips.

Belly fat is about the last place a person can lose. Exercise is about the only way and than very hard. Sometimes it is just the way we are built, no matter what you will have the belly fat.
