In the article Dress Slimmer, Look Thinner! one of the basic fashion tactics was "Choose pleated pants" in order to conceal your stomach area. That cannot be farther from the truth. A tummy is even more accentuated by pleats - think the 90s and all of those high waisted pleated pants. Even if you were thin you had a tummy with pleats. A flat front slack that falls at the natural waist has much more to offer paired with a nice sweater or top worn over the slack versus tucked in, and then, if needed, a jacket, which can be left open or closed, depending on the season or purpose of the jacket to the overall outfit. I think this tactic needs to be removed or updated.

I agree! I was shocked when I read this article - it was almost as if it was resurrected from the early 90's with the fashion 'advice'. This person obviously doesn't know fashion! Double breasted jackets and pleated pants are a no-no for anyone with curves, plus just plain out of style! I hope no one actually took this writers advice!!
