My daughter will not eat steamed broccoli by itslef. But if I hide it in a cheese quesadilla (light on the cheese) she eats it right up!

I am a "Wild Woman"! I loved this article! I weigh, well, let's just say I weigh A LOT and am newly motivated to getting healthy (My 16-year-old son awake at 5:30 a.m., he is biking and I walk.) Now that I have discovered she is within me, I am so excited to discover the new horizons we will explore together! Thanks e-diets!

I need help! My little step-daughter is going to be 4 in just a couple months. My problem is her eating nothing but chicken nuggets and peanut butter (no jelly) sandwiches. Yes, sadly this is her diet. I do have other children of my own and ANY food is not a problem to serve. But...I'm not getting any where with this one. I have even just stopped giving her what she wants and she refuses to eat!!!

I put spinach in brownies and get away with zucchini muffins becuase I called the green bits 'shamrocks' over st. Patrick's day. Pumpkin muffins are easy and they love those. I will mix some yams in next time.
Anyone have any good tricks like these?
(my kids are 4.5 and 6 yrs)

making healthy foods fun. My son likes eggs because of Green eggs and ham. I can make the eggs green either with food coloring or w Spinach.
he thought he hated carrots, so I cooked them. Now he loves them. If it is the texture try and change it. Although this rule does not work for him w avocado. He doesn't like it whole or in gucamole.
Peas he didn't like cooked, but he likes them frozen.
Sweet potatoes he doesn't care for, but he likes them in the baby food.
He used to love brown sugar (thank you gma) on his oatmeal and lots of it. I told him that we ran out of brown sugar and from now on he could use fruit or no sugar added apple sauce to flavor his oats. It took a bit of trying, but now he loves it that way.

Last night I made him eggs, carrots, green beans, and natural pb toast. I put it on his plate to look like a face. Scrambled eggs-hair, carrots-eyes, green beans ears and nose, toast lips. Be creative and continue to offer healthy options even if they do not eat it.

You just got to learn what tricks will work for your kid. Try new things.

something amazing I have to share with other people. Since I was a teenager I have suffered with facial hair. Every morning time wasted plucking or waxing to make my face smooth and now post menopausal it has been even worse. Then something incredible. A week ago I began to do the GI diet really seriously and the hair is just not growing and now I am totally convinced that an overload of sugar is what contributes to facial hair. It's amazing, I keep looking in the mirror to make sure its true!!!!

I too have a picky eater, but you know what you will have bigger battles ahead. You should just let it go and not stree about what they are eating. They do come around. I have a 16 year old girl that would only eat hotdogs, PBJ sandwiches or, McDonald chicken nuggets, she out grew it and now will not eat meat instead she eats tofu. Hang in there it does get better. I also am going through it again with my 3 year old.
