Growing Teeth in a Dish?

Japanese scientists have claimed to have grown teeth in a lab from a single cell. What for, you ask? It's about the big picture of organ regenerating. But don't let this be a license to not floss.

I THINK THAT THE NO-SPANK LAW WOULD BE HARMFUL TO OUR FUTURE LEADER. THERE IS A FINE LINE BETWEEN ABUSE AND DISCIPLINE. IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT LINE THEN YES GO TO PARENTING CLASSES. ON SOME OCCASION A LITTLE TAP ON THE BOTTOM IS OK. BY GIVING IN TO YOUR CHILD EVERYTIME, YOU ARE SETTING THEM UP FOR FUTURE FAILURE. DO WE WANT A WORLD OF CHILDREN WITH NO REMORSE OR REPRECUSSION? THIS SHOULDN'T BE IN THE HANDS OF ANY LAW MAKER OR REPRESENTIVE. WE HAVE LAWS FOR CHILD ABUSE.

I'm against the No-Spanking Law. There are already laws that protect children from abuse. I know that there are adults who do not know the fine line between spanking and abuse. But, the laws we have in place just need to be enforce. Children have different personalities and there is not one set way to discipline a child. In that said, sometimes a spanking is needed when other methods of discipline do not work and I believe this option should not be taken away from parents.

There is a wonderful expression which states "treat every situation as it presents itself." With that said, the government needs to keep their nose out of parents abilities to discipline their children. Has anyone noticed that children's behaviors have increasingly gotten worse since the 1950's. They are out of control as a result of the attitudes about "trying to understand why your child is feeling the way they are." When I was a child, I do not remember putting much thought into bad behaviors (and I was raised a Catholic and attended parochial school). I was testing the waters, so to speak. It was my parents obligation, having brought me into this world, to correct and guide me. I received two spankings in my life. I remember both...I deserved both. To entertain the notion of putting a parent behind bars for spanking their child is absolutely rediculous. You'll have parents afraid to discipline their children. Time out does not work sometimes. Taking things away and restrictions do not work sometimes. Going to your room does not work sometimes. And, last, but not least, spanking does not work sometimes.
The answer is teaching your children what is right and what is wrong by example; accepting that they are kids, and part of being a kid is pushing the limits, being an adult when you decide to have children, so you're equipped to deal with these issues, and counting to 10. Remember, you were a kid once. Try to remember what you were thinking when you did defiant or "bad" things. If you remember correctly, you weren't really thinking at all.
I am raising my two grand children, and I find that if I ask my grandson, who is difficult at times, to go and write a letter to me apologizing for what he's done, it makes him have to address what he did.
California is notorious for not addressing real issues and creating non issues and making a big fuss over them. California, go take a look in the mirror, you have enough garbage in your state which requires real attention. A spanking is not abuse unless you leave a mark, which means you went too far.

Although I find the use of spanking degrading I'm a product of a generation that it was used with out moderation; that is to say at any default of deemed correct behavior it was used, I will say that my parents were complemented on the behavior of the children that they raised, and yes I still find a deep resentment at times to the way I was treated .
Now as to the problem of how one is to treat their children, well if one encounters a child that will not accuire a sence of saftey or well being with the use of words then another stimulant is required. Having only two children I have only swated the oldest once to correct an ongoing saftey problem [ this being at the age of three - the child is now fifteen] I have grown up with parents that had in excess of ten siblings, one side of the mix resulted in examples with over sixty percent going to jail or prison, this was thrown up in our face as children as well as spankings on a daliy basis.
There are those that have never know the hunger for love, frindship or even respect of their peers, these are the ones that advocate no spanking with out reguard as to what will be the end result. EVEN THOUGH I RESENT THE THINGS THAT HAVE PASSED, IT IS A MORAL SIN AS WELL AS AN EARLY TICKET TO A MORE POPULATED JAIL ENVIROMENT AND A MORE DEGRADED CIVILIATION OF THIS COUNTRY TO TAKE AWAY THE RIGHT OF A PARENT TO CHASTISE AND SPANK A CHILD IN ORDER TO BRING THAT CHILD UP IN A WAY THAT IS CONSIDERED CIVILIZED. IT IS NOW TOO LATE FOR SOME OF THE GANG MEMBERS THAT ROAM OUR COUTRY TO BE SPANKED!!! I have had advantages given to me that if not for my early upbringing would have been passed on to someone eles.
I fear that many of our children will have a short life with many of the beneifits that we have enjoyed because they have not received the education of what is expected of the civilized population. I will sign this as the Ghost of Nashville, a writer of Country Songs, it may be taken as a sign that not all poor boys turn out bad....Spankings or not.
