Interesting study, but hard to generalize to this century, given that the indicators of longevity that may have been indicators in the late 1800s are not really relavent to us now. And well - given the study subjects, this would be hard to test in this century! A very difficult hypothesis to prove or disprove given all that has changed from century to century - socially and medically speaking. Still interesting though :)

I think interesting study, but way too many variables.

First children tend to be the ones to take care of other siblings. which could make them more active.

Second, living on a farm could make them more active.

Third having a younger mother could mean they have to do more and learn to help out at younger age and more often.

So basically although the idea is ok, there are way too many other variables to make this a valid study.
